Public Notice: NHC-City of Wilmington Community Relations Advisory Committee meeting on Nov. 8 NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC – Notice is hereby given that the New Hanover County-City of Wilmington Community Relations Advisory Committee will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 5 p.m., for a joint meeting with the New Hanover County Schools Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee. The special meeting will be held at the Board of Education Center at 1805 S. 13th Street. The purpose of this meeting is to foster fellowship, give an update on the August Listening Session, and begin a dialogue on collaboration.

The Veteran's Battlefield Documentary

The North Carolina Association of County Commissioners (NCACC) is partnering with New Hanover County government to show the NCACC’s newest documentary, The Veteran’s Battlefield. The Veteran’s Battlefield is a documentary that explores veterans’ challenges in North Carolina and how counties and residents can best support our veteran population. North Carolina is home to around 700,000 veterans and has the eighth-largest veteran population in the nation.
