Sinkhole Repairs at Veterans Park Soccer Fields

This Request for Bid (RFB) is to secure a Contractor to provide multiple sinkhole repairs caused by Hurricane Florence at Veterans Park, located at 835 Halyburton Memorial Parkway, Wilmington, NC. There are approximately 16 sinkholes throughout the storm drainage piping that are in need of repairs. Contractor shall dig down to existing storm drain pipe and repair joints and sinkholes.  Contractor shall also use hydraulic cement around pipe joints and wrap silt material around joints, and backfill areas and compact disturbed areas.

DISASTER RECOVERY OPPORTUNITIES

The NC Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) counselors can “educate” businesses on vendor registration processes and where to find disaster recovery opportunities.   

There are many contracting opportunities that arise from disaster recovery operations. Emergency Responders need vendors that can clear debris, provide facility support services, furnish necessary supplies, and much more. In the aftermath of a disaster, different aspects of the recovery operations may be led by the federal government through FEMA, state government response programs, city or county emergency response programs, or non-profit organizations like the American Red Cross. New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility is soliciting proposals from qualified food service management companies in the interest of providing the essential service of preparing and serving food for an Average Daily Population (ADP) of 600 and approximately 125 detention and administrative staff daily.

Please indicate your intent to submit a proposal by sending an email to lbutler@nhcgov.com. Please include your company’s contact information for receiving any addenda issued for this RFP.

A Facility tour will take place at the Sheriff’s Office Detention’s Facility located at 3950 Juvenile Center Road, Castle Hayne, North Carolina 28429 on September 11, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Attendance for this tour is OPTIONAL BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for any Vendor wishing to submit a proposal who has not previously toured the facility. Vendors should notify Lena Butler by email at lbutler@nhcgov.com by Friday, September 7, 2018 at 3:00 PM if they will be present for the tour.

Prior to the tour, vendors are encouraged to submit their initial questions in writing and email them to lbutler@nhcgov.com no later than Friday, September 7, 2018 at 3:00 PM.

Vendors will have an opportunity to submit additional questions regarding this RFP after the tour until September 18, 2018 at 3:00 PM.
