NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC - Notice is hereby given that the Health and Human Services (HHS) Board's data review subcommittee will meet at 3 pm on Friday, January 7, 2022, to discuss local COVID-19 data and review current statistics and research about the virus and its circulating variants. The public can attend the meeting in person at the HHS building, located at 1650 Greenfield Street, in multipurpose room B or listen by calling 336-218-2051, then entering 25579306# as the meeting ID.
This subcommittee, which includes four HHS Board members, was formed by a vote of the HHS Board at its December 21, 2021 meeting. The group will work with staff to develop a clear methodology of statistical analysis, including hospital, CDC and NCDHHS data, in order to provide data-driven information to the full HHS Board. The subcommittee's work is intended to aid in the board's discussion about a potential face coverings health rule and any other protective measures related to the pandemic.
The meeting is open for the public to listen, but does not include public comments. The public can make comments regarding the health rule at the HHS Board's January 18 meeting or online here.
