The Department of Information Technology provides County-wide support for all computer software, hardware, and telephony-related systems. The department is responsible for analyzing and implementing the electronic needs of all County departments according to agency requirements, and insuring that adequate training is available to users.
The Department of Information Technology is comprised of the following Divisions:
- Administration
Consists of the Director and the IT Procurement / Administrative Specialist. It is responsible for developing and procuring a comprehensive strategy for the County's hardware, software, networking infrastructure and policies for implementing this strategy
Service Desk Team
Coordinates the work of the department by maintaining the service desk system that is used to track all requests for service. This group is the first line of customer service for the department.
Staff who directly support the day-to-day operations of the various County departments are divided into 5 teams each service a group of agencies. The five teams are: Administrative Agencies, Public Safety Agencies, Health and Human Service Agencies, Cultural and Recreational Agencies, and Development Services Agencies.
Is responsible for the operations and maintenance of all of the County's technology infrastructure. This includes over 70 servers, an extensive network that covers more than 30 locations, and the County's storage area network that houses over 8 TB of data.
