Health Care

VA operates the nation's largest integrated health care system with more than 1,400 sites of care.  For most veterans, entry into the VA health care system begins by applying for enrollment.  Once enrolled, veterans can receive health care at VA health care facilities. 

Changes to Priority Group 8 
Effective 15 June 2009, more than 260,000 Veterans will be eligible for healthcare program enrollment.   Veterans whose incomes exceed the current VA income thresholds by up to 10 percent may now be eligible for enrollment.
