Helpful Information
- Applications for construction permits may be submitted between 7:30am and 4:30 pm
- For cash customers schedule an inspection by calling 798-7151 and pay with a credit/debit card over the phone
- For NHC Insp Dept account holders you may email us at cas@nhcgov.com or fax us using our insp req form to 798-7060 or:
- Our IDEA (Inspections Department Express Access) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to schedule inspections and check on inspection results. Phone number: 910-798-4332 (IDEA) You will need the Phone Access Code from your Permit
- Inspection Request Cutoff time is 3:30pm
- Inspections requested by 3:30pm will be scheduled for next business day
- Inspections scheduled from 3:30pm to 5pm are scheduled for the day after the next business day Monday through Friday
- Inspection Cancellation Policy
- Inspectors are usually in the office from 7:30am to 8:00am
- Visa and Master Card are accepted.
