The Library provides many workshops and skills sessions on a variety computer topics and electronic resources.  Find a session below to learn or improve your computer skills.

 

  

 Main Library

A variety of classes are offered at the Main Library in the 3rd floor computer Lab.  These classes are introductory classes for beginning computer users and special topic classes, covering various electronic resources and subject areas, for users with some Internet experience

Basic Skills Classes for Beginners will resume in January 2009

 Foundation Directory and other grant resources is offered by Phyllis Smith, Reference Supervisor.  These sessions often have a specific business area focus.  None are scheduled at this time.  Contact Phyllis Smith 798-6351 for information on future sessions.

 

 

 Myrtle Grove Library

Need help with Word? Online job applications? Using the library catalog? Or are you an absolute beginner with computers, who wants to be shown how this keyboard and mouse thingy works? Or perhaps how to safely navigate the Internet?

Beginning Friday November 21, running until mid-May 2009, Myrtle Grove Public Library will be offering free one-on-one computer help for its patrons. Help will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the third Friday morning of each month.

 

 Northeast Library

Volunteers are available in the computer area every Tuesday, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm and Wednesday, 9:00 am - 11:00 am to assist with computer questions.  Volunteers may be available at other times and will be at the desk in the computer area.

This site offers a variety of self paced tutorials on using the computer as well as a number of online classes conducted by an instructor.  All classes are free and tutorials are available in English and Spanish.
