Planning Committee (Risks and Needs Assessment)
This committee is responsible for planning and carrying out the process of reviewing and assessing the needs of juveniles in the County who are at risk for delinquency or who have been adjudicated undisciplined or delinquent and putting those needs in priority order, determining the resources available to address those needs, proposing ways to address any unmet needs, and reporting its findings and making recommendations for prioritizing needs for funding to the JCPC.

Program Evaluation & Monitoring Committee
This committee is responsible for gathering information about JCPC funded programs and monitoring the performance of those programs and reporting to the JCPC. Two monitoring site visit are conducted during the fiscal year and reports prepared and submitted to the JCPC. Throughout the year committee members should review each of the JCPC funded program reports for compliance with the program agreement. JCPC members are to address any concerns regarding the monthly program reports to this committee for review and handling.

Program Funding & Review Committee
This committee is responsible for reviewing the grant proposals and making recommendations to the JCPC for the use of DJJDP funds, or any other funds available to the County that would meet the needs as prioritized by the JCPC and recommend the level of funding for the programs that apply to the JCPC. The review may include interviews with the applicants where the applicants present and discuss their proposals with the committee, allowing for questions/answers/clarifications, etc.

Publicity (Public Awareness) Committee
This committee is responsible for developing strategies and means to publicize the work of the JCPC and educate the community about the needs and concerns of youth and families in the community. This committee shall keep juvenile service agencies, appropriate governmental and community boards, and the general public aware of the causes of delinquency, strategies and services available to reduce the problem and the unmet needs in the community and to report to the JCPC.

Executive Committee
This committee consists of the elected officers and committee chairpersons and is required to meet at least twice a fiscal year. This committee may plan the agenda for JCPC meetings and oversees the implementation of the JCPC workplan. The Executive Committee takes needed action as authorized on matters that require a response prior to the next meeting of the JCPC, such as letters of support for grant applications.

Ad Hoc Membership & Nominating Committee
This committee prepares and recommends a slate of nominees for JCPC officers each year to the full JCPC. This committee monitors the terms of appointment of JCPC members and informs the JCPC when terms are expiring and assists in obtaining applications for member vacancies. The committee also requests designees to fill required JCPC positions.
