The Department of Information Technology provides County-wide support for all computer systems, GIS systems, telephone systems, beepers and fax machines. The department is responsible for analyzing and implementing the electronic needs of all County departments according to response time, storage requirements, hardware and software services, and insuring that adequate training is available to users.
The Department of Information Technology is comprised of the following Divisions:
- Administration Division
Consists of the Director and the IT Procurement / Administrative Specialist. It is responsible for developing and procuring a comprehensive strategy for the County's hardware, software, networking infrastructure and policies for implementing this strategy
Business Applications Division
Is responsible for Departmental Application Support and Maintenance, Business Process Analysis and Project Management.
- Business Services Division
Has the responsible for Policy and Procedure Development, Contract Management, Customer Relations Management, Staff Development Management and Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Planning, PC Support (including installation and on-going maintenance) Desktop Application Support and Telephony Support.
- Enterprise Services
Is responsible for Strategic Technology Planning, Enterprise Application Support (such as Microsoft Office SharePoint Services, Microsoft Exchange, Web Applications, Laser Fiche Document Management and all other cross-departmental applications), Network Planning and Monitoring, Security Implementation Network Management, Server Management, Storage Management and Geographic Information Systems.
