Rabies

Rabies is an acute and fatal viral disease which is almost always transmitted by an animal bite which allows the virus to enter the wound and occasionally can enter the body through an open wound or mucous membranes.  The series consist of three vaccinations over a 4 week period.   Rabies vaccination is not a requirement to enter a country and the nurse will evaluate your risk for exposure.
