Polio Booster

An adult polio booster is sometimes recommended for those adults that are visiting countries which have a high prevalence of polio.  Polio is an acute viral infection that affects the gastrointestinal tract and occasionally the central nervous system. It is acquired by oral transmission or fecal-oral transmission.
