Goal: To decrease incidence/prevalence of HIV in our community
Blood test to detect HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. Risk reduction education to encourage personal risk assessment and behavior changes to prevent exposure to HIV. Free Condoms available. Services - confidential and free.
.0202 HIV Control Measures (North Carolina laws and rules)

Refrain from sexual intercourse unless condoms are used.

Do not share needles or syringes, or any other drug-related equipment.

Do not donate or sell blood, or other blood products, semen, tissues, organs, or breast milk.

Have a tuberculin skin test.
-
Notify future sexual intercourse partners of the infection and any previous sexual intercourse and needle partners since the date of infection (if known) and for the previous year.
