Education

The Dental Health Division provides dental health education to local children in grades kindergarten through the fifth in order to help them understand the basic skills of good oral health.  This is accomplished by providing the children with information on diet, brushing, flossing, use of fluorides, need for regular dental care, and injury prevention.

Oral Health Assessments with Referral

Oral Health Assessments are provided by the Dental Health Division for children in grades kindergarten and fifth.  We determine the oral health treatment needs as well as refer children in need of immediate care.

Dental Sealants

Dental Sealants are thin plastic coatings placed on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth.  Dental Sealants are a wonderful preventive method because they can prevent a lot of cavities.  The Dental Health Division works with many local and state groups and organizations in order to promote this wonderful preventive technique.
