Find Your Polling Place
If you have checked your voter registration and still do not find your voter record OR if you have moved to a new location WITHIN New Hanover County for more than 30 days before the election and you haven't updated your voter registration but wish to go to your new polling place to vote on election day, you may find your street in the list with the appropriate precinct number. Once you have identified the precinct number, the second link will take you to a page that provides the location of the appropriate precinct.
This is a TWO STEP process.
Step I.
Check the street listing and find the street on which you reside. The file below is in Adobe PDF format and requires Adobe Reader. It provides an easy search tool that will prevent you from having to scroll in order to find your street name.
The Find toolbar searches the PDF.
- Type the street name you want to search for in the text box on the Find toolbar.
- Press Enter.
Acrobat jumps to the first instance of the street name, which appears highlighted.
- Press Enter repeatedly to go to the next instances of the street name. Pay close attention to the street ranges and whether or not your house number is Odd (O) or Even (E). Sometimes precinct boundaries run down the center of a road.
- The last column contains your precinct name/identifier (example: CF01, M02, FP02, W31, WB, etc.)
