PUBLIC HEARING AND BUDGET WORK SESSION

Notice is hereby given that the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners will hold a Special Meeting to conduct a Public Hearing on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. in the Assembly Room of the New Hanover County Courthouse, 24 North Third Street, Room 301, Wilmington, North Carolina.  The purpose of the  public hearing, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-340, is to receive comments concerning a development moratorium of 60 days or shorter period on internet gaming establishments.

Furthermore, a Budget Work Session will be held immediately following the Special Meeting.

PUBLIC HEARING AND AGENDA REVIEW 

Notice is hereby given that the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing, pursuant to Section 160A-20 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. at the New Hanover County Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive, in the Lucie Harrell Conference Room, Wilmington, North Carolina 28403. 

The purpose of the public hearing is to consider the execution and delivery of the Contract and the Deed of Trust and the County’s proposed refinancing of a portion of certain capital projects as specified in the notice to be published March 18, 2010 in the Star-News newspaper.  All interested parties are invited to present comments at the public hearing regarding the execution and delivery of the Contract and the Deed of Trust and the County’s proposed financing of certain capital projects. 

The regularly scheduled agenda review meeting will follow immediately thereafter.  

JOINT MEETING WITH
NEW HANOVER REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Notice is hereby given that the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners will hold a Joint Meeting with the New Hanover Regional Medical Center Board of Trustees on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at the Cape Fear Hospital Building C Conference Room, 5301 Wrightsville Avenue, Wilmington, NC. The purpose of the meeting is to hear a status report on the current activities of the Medical Center. 

   JOINT MEETING WITH THE AIRPORT AUTHORITY

Notice is hereby given that the New Hanover County Board of Commissioners will hold a Joint Meeting with the Airport Authority on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at 7:30 a.m. in the second floor conference room of the Wilmington International Airport, 1740 Airport Boulevard, Wilmington, North Carolina.  The purpose of the meeting is to hear a status report on the current activities of the Airport.
