New Hanover County Animal Control Services in partnership with the University of North Carolina at Wilmington Pre-Veterinary Medical Association will host their annual no cost rabies clinic on Saturday, September 18, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at UNCW. Dogs, cats, and ferrets four months of age and older may be vaccinated in Lot K, just south of Trask Coliseum on College Road. Owners are advised to bring proof of prior rabies vaccination, such as a rabies certificate or veterinary reminder to receive a three year shot. The rabies tag alone is insufficient proof of previous vaccination.
