Restaurants, Foodstands, School Lunchrooms (public and private) are issued a numerical grade.
Meat Markets, School Buildings, Hospitals, Rest/Nursing Homes, Lodging, Bed & Breakfast Homes and Inns are issued a numerical grade and letter grade.
Mobile Food Units, Pushcarts, Limited Foodservice, Seafood Market and Vehicles, Tattoo and Body Piercing Artists do not receive a letter grade during inspections.
Child Care Centers and Local Confinements are evaluated by a demerit and classification system.

Score	Grade
90 – 102	A
80 – 89	B
70 - 79	C
Below 70	Permit Revoked

Child Care Centers Classification
Superior - (15 or less demerits, and no 6-demerit point item is violated)
Approved - (More than 15, but not more than 30, and no 6-demerit point item is
violated)
Provisional - (If any 6-demerit items is violated, or if the total demerit-point score is
more than 30 but not more than 45)
Disapproved - (If the demerit score is 46 or more, or if conditions which resulted in a
provisional classification have not been corrected in the time period specified)

Local Confinements Classification
Approved - (20 or less demerits, and no 6-point demerits)
Provisional - (More than 20, but 40 or less demerits, or a 6-point demerit)
Disapproved - (More than 40 demerits or failure to improve provisional classification)

I=School Lunchroom - Private
J=Hospital
K=Rest/Nursing Home

R=Bed & Breakfast Home
RR=Bed & Breakfast Inn
U=Seafood Market
UU-Seafood Vehicle
V=Child Care Center
Z=Body Piercing Artist
14=Limited Foodservice
16=Institutional Foodservice
61=Tattoo Artist
