Draft Work First 2010 - 2011 Plan Information
A draft copy of the 2010-2011 New Hanover County Work First Plan is available for public review and comment prior to approval by the New Hanover County Board of County Commissioners and submission to the North Carolina Division of Health and Human Services. Work First is North Carolina’s welfare reform program and the plan is required from each county to explain strategies for providing employment services and temporary financial assistance through the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Program (TANF).
Citizens of New Hanover County are encouraged to read the draft copies during the Public Comment period, September 3 through September 17th.
